For a long time I've thought that JD buying Starbuck was an integral part of the plot. Now, I'm not so convinced. At first it was the reason they were moving in together, but that's been covered by something else. Now it just feels excessive. At some point the racers' fates will have to be decided, but until then... meh. I want this to end at some point before the turn of the next decade.
